Who is, was, and what will become of Mikey Morrison? From a young child, Mikey was inquisitive, almost to the point of aggravation. Asking questions so frequently, that even the most patient parent would have to catch themselves from rolling their eyes. Luckily, patience prevailed.

In kindergarten, his parents where called in for a conference with his teacher. Her concern? Every crayon “masterpiece” depicting a person donned green hair. Upon inspection, a chuckle from his father, and an explanation from his mother, the teacher’s worries subsided...Mikey had a rock n roll uncle, with green hair, who played in a band, and who’s music he adored!

It didn’t stop there...after a full year off begging and pleading, Mikey was permitted to study the alto-saxophone. So began the tiny 5th grader’s journey through a number of years donning marching band uniforms, tuxedos, and other uncomfortable and matching garb. Those experiences, along with the guidance and support of some truly inspirational instructors, the doors began opening wider to creativity and self-expression.

Gifted his first used electric guitar at age 14 for Christmas, he taught himself without a lesson. Writing his first song shortly there after, the hours turned to days, then months, and many years have passed. Over half a lifetime of travel has seen numerous groups, collaborations, projects, and albums. Picking up new instruments along the way, they finally led, at last, to the gateway that would become “Snow In The Sands.”

Hope you enjoy what comes next…
